The Laapataa Ladies filmmakers held a star-studded special screening in Mumbai on Monday night. Attending the screening in style were Kajol, Sunny Deol, Radhika Apte, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Tillotama Shome. The film’s producer and director, Aamir Khan, brought his ex-husband Kiran Rao to the screening of Laapataa Ladies. On the red carpet, Aamir and Kiron stood with Ravi Kishan, who plays Laapataa Ladies.Ira Khan, the daughter of Aamir Khan, and her spouse Nupur Shikhare arrived for the screening. Ira dressed elegantly in a pink saree for the event. On the red carpet, Sunny Deol, who is starring in Aamir Khan’s Lahore 1947, posed with director Rajkumar Santoshi. Dhobi Ghat was Kiran Rao’s directorial debut. The movie came out in 2011. Aamir Khan, Monica Dogra, Prateik Babbar, and Kriti Malhotra appeared in the movie. On March 1, Laapataa Ladies will be released in cinemas.

Biplab Goswami’s award-winning narrative served as the inspiration for Laapataa Ladies. Sneha Desai wrote the screenplay and dialogue, and Divyanidhi Sharma wrote the rest of the dialogue. Last year, the esteemed Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) screened Laapataa Ladies.

Attending the screening was director Ashutosh Gowariker, who collaborated with Aamir Khan in Lagaan. Kabir Khan, his wife Mini Mathur, and director R Balki were also present during the screening. Anand L Rai and Karan Johar both made a point of attending the film.
Kiran Rao is an Indian filmmaker and producer, born on November 7, 1973, in Bangalore, India. She was raised in Kolkata and later moved to Delhi for her college education. Kiran graduated with a degree in Economics from the Sophia College for Women in Mumbai.
Her foray into the film industry began with working as an assistant director on the film “Lagaan” (2001), which starred Aamir Khan, whom she would later marry. Kiran and Aamir tied the knot in December 2005.
Kiran made her directorial debut with the film “Dhobi Ghat” in 2011, a drama that received critical acclaim for its realistic portrayal of life in Mumbai. Apart from directing, she has also been involved in film production and is associated with Aamir Khan Productions.
