On the professional front, Parineeti eagerly awaits the release of “Chamkila,” directed by Imtiaz Ali and featuring Diljit Dosanjh. Streaming on Netflix from April 19, the film revolves around Amarjot Kaur and Amar Singh Chamkila. Parineeti portrays Amarjot, while Diljit takes on the role of Chamkila. The film explores the tragic assassination of Amar Singh Chamkila, his wife Amarjot Kaur, and members of their musical band on March 8, 1988.

Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha’s love story commenced in London. Recalling their first meeting at the ICC Young Leaders Forum, Parineeti shared, “We met for breakfast early morning, on Republic Day I remember. I sat with him for maybe half an hour, and I just knew. I was like ‘this is the man I am going to marry.’ And I had no information about him. I didn’t know how old he was, I didn’t know whether he was married or not, because I never followed politics.”
Parineeti Chopra added, “I didn’t have personal details about him. So, I went back to my hotel room and started googling him, like ‘Raghav Chadha age, Is Raghav Chadha married.’ In my head, I felt like ‘this was my guy, this was the man I have been waiting for.’ Thankfully, he was single, and everything checked out. We started talking.”
Parineeti and Raghav tied the knot in Udaipur last year, sharing pictures from their wedding and expressing, “From the very first chat at the breakfast table, our hearts knew. Been waiting for this day for a long time… So blessed to finally be Mr and Mrs! Couldn’t have lived without each other… Our forever begins now.”
Parineeti Chopra is set to appear in Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming film “Amar Singh Chamkila,” starring alongside Diljit Dosanjh. Her recent project was “Mission Raniganj,” where she shared the screen with Akshay Kumar.
