Virat’s back-to-back half-centuries in two out of three matches in the IPL have notably strengthened his chances for consideration in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Despite Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) facing defeat in two matches, Virat’s batting form has sparked discussions among cricket enthusiasts. While some are scrutinizing his strike rate, others are lauding his innings. Memes poking fun at his perceived “less-than-impressive” strike rate have also been circulating widely on social media platforms.

In an interview with IANS, a BCCI official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, remarked that Virat, despite returning from a prolonged break, is currently performing well on the field. The official further emphasized that the selection process for the national team is not influenced by social media memes, highlighting the importance of evaluating players based on their on-field contributions and consistency.
