Arvind Kejriwal Criticizes Nitish Kumar’s Political Move: Exit from INDIA Bloc Not Good for Democracy

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal criticized Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his shift from the INDIA bloc to the BJP-led NDA, stating that such conduct is “not good for democracy.“Arvind Kejriwal expressed his disapproval during a press conference, emphasizing that Nitish Kumar’s decision to leave the INDIA bloc was a wrong choice. Nitish Kumar recently resigned as Bihar CM, forming a new government with BJP’s support and taking oath for a record 9th term.

Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), questioned the wisdom of Nitish Kumar’s departure, highlighting the potential negative impact on democracy. He asserted that Nitish Kumar’s political maneuvering could result in losses for the NDA in Bihar rather than benefiting them, suggesting that the INDIA bloc might gain from the situation.

On Monday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal criticized his Bihar colleague Nitish Kumar for his actions, saying they were damaging to democracy and that he had not acted appropriately by leaving the INDIA bloc.

Arvind Kejriwal made the remark at a press conference while responding to a question about Nitish forming a new government with BJP in Bihar.

“I feel this is wrong and he should not have left. Such conduct is not good for democracy,” Kejriwal said.

“I feel that he should not have left. He has done wrong. Such conduct is not good for democracy. What my understanding is that this (his exit) will cause losses for the NDA in Bihar, instead of benefitting them. INDIA bloc will benefit,” he said.

The Delhi Chief Minister addressed the ongoing political developments, linking them to the AAP’s activities in Haryana. Kejriwal announced that the AAP would contest alone in all 90 seats in the Haryana assembly elections. While expressing the party’s readiness to collaborate with the INDIA alliance in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Kejriwal emphasized the AAP’s growing influence in Haryana over the last six months.
